37th Sanremo Historic Rally, entries finally open
SANREMO (IM), 4 settembre – After months of underground work, the labors and fruits of which very few knew about, the triple race on Oct. 13-15, which will see historic and modern cars compete on special stages in western Liguria, finally becomes public.
“There are two moments that fire up the engine of the races,” says Sergio Maiga, chairman of the Events Organizing Committee. “When registration opens and when the website comes back to life by being updated with forms, tables, press releases and news. That’s when the race becomes a reality,” Maiga reiterates.
The website www.rallyesanremo.it has been up and running for a few weeks now, and there one can find all the information needed by competitors and spectators; but also by simple fans who may not be able to be present at the roadside or in the service park, but want to know all about the event. “We have created a particularly streamlined and easily navigable site, divided into the three races that will heat up the mid-October weekend. As we get closer to the event, the site will be constantly enriched with press releases and photo galleries of the protagonists,” Maiga further clarifies, “while competitors and teams already find all the forms and information they need to participate in the races.”
Tuesday, September 6, marks the time for entries. Tuesday, September 6, marks the time from which competitors can send entries for the 37th Historic Rally, valid for the European and Italian specialty championships, as well as for the Michelin Historic Rally Cup. Entries will remain open until midnight Tuesday, Sept. 27, for competitors taking part in the continental event.
